Every word lights up
as it's read

A sunflower-yellow highlight follows the storyteller from word to word. In daytime stories, a small ball hops onto each word too.

A picture in a cut-paper style: a smiling mother toad and her little toad sit together on warm sand under a paper sun, with daisies and grass.

Over in the meadow, in the sand, in the sun,
Lived an old mother toad and her little toadie, one.

From Over in the Meadow by Olive A. Wadsworth (1870).

A note for grown-ups

Hello from Luis and Jonathan. We run Wuba Studios, a small independent studio, and we're making Wuba Stories for children aged 3 to 5.

Some stories are retellings of classics now in the public domain, like the counting rhyme Over in the Meadow from 1870. Others are new stories of our own.

What we promise

  • Narration at about 115 words a minute
  • Shots that stay on screen for a long time, in gentle colours
  • Nothing flashes on screen
  • Bedtime stories that are slower and quieter, with the highlight and no ball

How we use AI

AI tools help with the pictures, the animation and the storytellers' voices. People choose, edit and approve every story.
